The Arc pen has a 2-sided self-aligning magnetic mechanism, through which the anti-roll flat sides along the pen body always get aligned perfectly.

I bought the green aluminium gel pen. It's exactly what I had hoped for. The pen had a solid and pleasingly heavy feel. The finish and build quality are superb and the magnetic cap is wonderful. Whether securing the cap when closed, or on the reverse end of the pen when writing, the magnetic binding is spot on. Although you can pull the cap off, rotating it is a joy, as it pushes the magnets to repel.
The pilot refill style are the best available (in my experience). I've switched to a 0.7mm refill, as I find the 0.4 is little too fine for me. I really can't find fault with the unit and am happy to recommend it.

This pen is a thing of beauty. The green colour is so deep and the finish quality could not be better. Having a magnetic cap just makes it something to touch and play with, as well as writing well. My main problem is not letting my wife see it as she cannot be trusted with writing implements.

Love this pen really. The magnetic cap is fascinating. Use it often as a fidget :-). The ink pens from pilot are the best you can find on the market. I bought two Gel Pens to be able to use two different colors or two different pen sizes.
